Supercharger Intercooling

I am running a 302 with a vortech supercharger at 11 psi boost and I notice a dramatic loss of power on hot days (25+) especially after driving for a while and the motor is above 180 degrees. I am thinking about getting the vortech powercooler (air to water) to drop inlet temps, which should allow for slightly more boost (13psi) and timing. Just wondering if anyone has experience with adding an intercooler vs. non. It seems to not be an option on turbo cars. they all have intercoolers. Any suggestions /experience would be helpful as i checked the major mustang magazines and the old articles on the powercooler testing were not very informative

I have done alot of ProCharger system. with & without intercooler
you will be VERY happy with adding ont. almost like added another supercharger
you can gain 50 HP just by adding one. I used Prochargers new LSX kit in my latest Grand Sport camaro and it works KILLER. Very happy with it.

Adding an intercooler will help with a supercharger just as well as it will with a turbo when the air inlet temps get to hot. More heat expands the air, less oxygen, more chance of detonation, engine damage etc. Also consider air to air. Less chance of problems with fewer parts. You can also add meth injection under boost. A friend of mine runs an LS 3 that makes over 800hp to the wheels and has air to air plus meth and can run 17lbs of boost with a YSI on pump gas.

Supercharged engine love cool air. The cooler the air the denser the air is. The more air fuel mixture you can cram into the engine equals more horsepower. Don`t you notice that on cooler day even stock engine runs stronger.
