Just told today that an Accel Gen 7 equipped 417 Dodge HEMI Won the EMC.

Greg I know you and others have had questionable experiences with the system, but maybe this helps to prove that with a capable tuner it works.

BTW I'm here to help.

I think most of the aftermarket systems and OEM systems work well with the correct tune. The Gen VII was definitely the toughest to straighten out of several different aftermarket systems and OEM systems I've personally tuned.

I am told it's easier now, but not sure. It's definitely capable but from my personal experience I would not recommend it for a beginning tuner. In your hands it's gold.

Thanks for the info.

My .02: With appropriate factory support any of the EFi systems is capable. But...

I've helped someone tune a Gen 7 system and was amazed positively at the capability of the system and negatively at the pathetic "manual" that comes with it. I have a lot of tech experience with software/sensors/modeling and education (MSEE and BSME) and have have done reverse engineering and still found it very cryptic and wanting. For those who get the secret decoder ring with the installer package it's probably much better but it definitely is not intended for DIY guys with the "manual" they ship with the regular consumer package.

See I think the explanations are fine, if you already have some knowledge. I've been told they need to be simplified but if you press F1, the help pages, they explain a lot. Someone put things into carb terms for me years ago, that helped a lot as well. I tried to do that in my video, hope it helps.

For the money I still think it's one of the best out there, period.
