So, I'm sitting here in my hotel room in Vegas. Just got in tonight. Our set up day is tomorrow (Sunday). I was at Pure Vision a couple days ago to install the custom made Anvil badges.

Here are a couple pics of the fender badge that we designed in solidworks and had CNC machined out of aluminum. They were then polished and bead blasted then painted.

Love the detail like the Anvil badges. After seeing the Playboy signage, please don't forget to (visually) spell-check your sign.

Can't wait to see this at SEMA in a few days!

I did catch that typo on the windshield sign at the mansion, but only after I got there. I provided the specs and they put the signs together based on the info I provided. It was out of my hands, but I honestly don't think too many people noticed if you know what I mean.

Well, it's been a great week. Tuesday morning, the day SEMA started, Ford announced their design exellence awards and the Anvil Mustang captured the best of show award. We also got a Mothers wax shine award on Wednesday, (Dragon won the top honor in that ceremony). Lots of interviews and traffic to our booth. Thanks to all who came by our booth!!!

Simply an awesome Mustang. Highly detailed in every area and an engine compartment holding a Boss motor that everyone was drooling over.

This shows how Steve and the boys narrowed down the front brake cooling duct by making an oval shaped steel tube that the hose connects to to allow for tire clearance. The rest of the hose that goes to my collector bezels wasn't in place at time of this shot.

What did you guys use for a bearing on the pivot point of the rocker shaft ?
or is it just a bolt ?

That car is just sick btw

I love that car. The subtleness of all the mods make it look like an original Ford product from one of their skunk works shops of the day. The period correct Elephant motor with the batwing style airbox puts it over the top.

Then as you look closer you keep discovering the super trick fab work and pieces on the car and your head spins. The way you made the modern upgrades look like they have been part of the car for decades is incredible.

I would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth and for those who didn't and posted your kind words and encouragement, I thank you too! Of course a big hats off to Steve Strope and his very hard working and talented crew at Pure Vision that made it happen. They are all a great bunch of guys to work with. I had a lot of fun on this project and they did what it took to get it done. Steve and I worked well together bouncing ideas off of one another to come up with a cohesive direction that made sense. The execution of the ideas is impecable. The finished product justified the hard work and time and money put into it. Thanks to all on this forum for your support!

I posted some pics from SEMA in earlier posts, but didn't have time or lighting to take some nice photos. The car is supposed to be getting professionally photographed this week, so once I get those shots, I'll see about posting some.

The car was gorgeous at SEMA. Some many small details...

On another note.... I kept meaning to corner you and ask about Anvil building some Mopar stuff !!! Theres a big fiberglass market out there....so its only one more step to go carbon fiber :)

Along with the beautiful classic SL merc the Anvil mustang was my favorite car at this years show. I heard both cars had wheels done by Mike Curtis and they both looked awesome! I have about 15mins of raw footage of the anvil 'stang. I try to put together a youtube clip soon...

Awesome machine.

Whats the deal with the lever behind the shifter? I assume e-brake but I like the utilitarian look, is it all custom?

That's actually a battery cut-off lever that has a cable going to the switch in the trunk where the battery is located. I think Steve told me that Lokar makes it.

Hey Matt:

Your Mustang is a sweet car. I wanted to say hi at your booth, but you were busy. We haven't talked since you helped us work on those mini robotic creature sculpts for Jakks a few years back (through 3DID)

Hey Brendon,

Sorry I was busy when you came by. Things were pretty crazy at our booth, but glad you stopped by. What's been going on and what kind of car are you working on?

I worked on some of the parts we will be producing in carbon fiber myself including the rear bumper. Originally Steve had the steel bumper de-chromed and I was going to have his guys weld and grind on it to make the mods I wanted, but we both agreed that there had to be a better way, so I went to town on some foam and fiberglass. Mick's guys from Mick's paint did the final touches on it as well as all the other panels that are being molded to make the carbon fiber parts.
