They want to sell me a framed article of my car---haven't called them back yet--anyone here used them before? Were they worth it?

We've used both "in the news" and "headlines in time".
IMO "headlines in time" is a nicer piece.
Be prepaid to sit down when you hear the price.
Both arent cheap.
But how often will you have the opportunity to be in print ?

I have a ton of them in my office. nice stuff. Ask for Eric Lee. He gives me a good deal. I have bought enough to get a pretty smokin deal.

Have to agree with Steve. Headlines in Time is a WAY nicer looking more modern piece where the "In The News" stuff looks like the article is shellacked onto a slab of wood '70s style and the Headlines in Time piece is sandwiched in a floating piece of acrylic with stainless hardware.

I've used In the News, only because they contacted me and shipped me the peice before I even paid for it. Didn't know there were other options.

Anybody have a pic of the Headlines in Time or Todays People work?

Nice work,I've always worked with In the News in the past on 4 projects and have gotten them down somewhat affordable pricewise...might have to look into these guys for the next 2 I need to have done...looks expensive though.:willy:

When does your article come out?

Todd, I believe it's the next issue of Chevy Hi---I'm fairly certain since he said he had the article there in his hands----

I appreciate all the input and PM's from everyone. I know it's a nice piece to have, however I just keep thinking about $400/500 spent on this, or start purchasing the pieces for the center section----. :willy: Will probably justify doing both somehow---

Doug, go with the Headlines in Times - really. The pieces you buy for the car will go with the car when your done, the preserved article is with you and your family for a lifetime.

I have had many of them done, and just like everything else in our hobby, it's worth the extra money!

In The News has a deal with the publisher and gets advance copies, so i always have them scan it and send it to me for proofing before I commit!

We have been using In The News and have been happy. I had a couple from Todays People but I felt their's was not as nice so we went back to In The News. In The News always calls us before the mag hits the stands so that is pretty cool as well.

Doug,
I've used In The News twice now Doug, and although expensive, I've been very happy with the end result. Muscle Car John, has the right idea about how to get them for cheaper though... trust that guy.

The hobby, artwork, and framing store 'Michaels' is having a 60% off sale right now on their custom frames. I received a coupon in the mail and I'd be happy to mail it to someone if they wanted it. I had my done there when it was 55% off and it was about $350 for what you see below. So maybe $315 now with %60 off. That included their archival quality(UV-proof) glass, double matting(2 shades of blue for mine), and a special 'raised' mounting that allows the pages to appear to be floating off the background(you can't tell by the poor angle of the photo). Anyway, just another alternative to consider.
