I was wanting to see pictures of where you guys installed you ECM/PCM in your cars. I want to install mine in my chevelle on the inside hump right at the firewall if possible. Also any Pictures of where you ran the harness through sheet meta. Thanks in advance Brandon

Put mine under the front seat...
Concealed the wires under the carpet... flattened - all protected... you'd never know they're there. They run in the "nook/transition" where the floor starts to turn into the trans tunnel...
They come through the firewall above the bellhousing... you can't see any of them.

I thought about going and removing the front seat -- and pulling up the carpet and the pad...
Yeah - I did - for about a quarter of a nanosecond.
I also noticed AFTER I posted - that they're interested in LS stuff -- and mine is an Accel Gen 7.... but it's all the same - big box with whiz bang stuff inside and a horse D*** sized bundle of wires that all has to go somewhere... and is 10' longer that what you need... :P

I was actually just thinking about this stuff tonight at the garage. I have an engine pcm and trans pcm to hide. These truck cabs are like working with a 34 three window! 10# of crap in a 5# bag. I like your placement. Going to look at that some more! You know, you can be very helpful............sometimes! :wow:

You know -- we'd be fun to hang out together....
Seriously though -- there's lots of room under the seats that don't get used for anything... and there's plenty of air flow (for the heat part of the ECM)... My carpet is thick (Mercedes Benz stuff) and there is thick padding that I cut a slot in so they wouldn't bulge the carpet. It's also hard to put your feet - or stand on - or kick etc - that "nook".

Weld, most of us aren't driving Bel Air's. I can't even get my pinky finger under my seats.

True!!
I don't have a trunk --- so anything I can put under the seats is fair game!
You should see all the stereo amps and stuff under the REAR seat!

Oh Yea, well I don't have a trunk or a back seat! :P
Instead of hiding it, maybe I'll go the "Back to the Future" route and mount it all on the outside of the cab. The ISIS master cell will be my Flux Capacitor!

In my '84 T/A swap I placed it in the engine compartment on the pass side. The wiring harness was a Speartech modified factory harness. My '57 Belvedere computer was located under the dash above the driver side kick panel. The wiring harness was a Painless unit.
