Cris -- What a find!
Here's what I've never ever been able to understand.... why do people pile this stuff up and never do anything with it... it just sits there and wastes away...
Thank gawd they do it -- to "save" them for the rest of us.... but I'll never understand a yard full of "crap" sitting for years... when they could have sold it all and had ONE really nice car.

Greg its called hoarding LOL
Nice find Chris, Im assuming the guy has had offers to sell for years, from the photos it looks like somebody could spot these during a drive by. Any photos and condition of the ones in the barn.

I agree with you Greg.. I just don't understand why the guy never stored the 69 & 70 TA indoors.. They are some rare cars.. We are only about 6 miles away from the ocean.. We get rusty cars here..

He is ready to sell most of the cars you see here Dave.. He will have a price on the 69 & 70 TA for me in the next couple of days..

Not trying to jack the thread -- it's a killer thread!
Up here - you drive by the poorest neighborhoods and they have the most stuff in their yards... Satellite TV dishes - Trucks with campers or trailers - fishing boats... a couple of junkers with the weeds... AND this is what gets me --- a blue tarp on the roof because it's leaking. I'm the kind - that if that were the case for my house - I'd be looking around for something to sell so I could fix the friggin' leak... I guess I'm just weird.
The "hoarders" (good one NVR!) always have all this STUFF... and then you see the guy and they have rotten teeth... yellow fingers... bib overalls (nothing wrong with those) and you'd think they couldn't find a $20 in their pocket. Amazing. And like I said - you have to thank someone for them - 'cause they got the stuff we want!!

I thought cars don't rust in kalifornia?
What a waste of cars.

Cars can rust here, too, especially when near the salty air from the ocean. The humidity is lower, so they typically won't rust like they do back east. The cars kept inland are usually very solid.
I'd love to know what this guy wants for the '69 T/A(s). I'm down in Long beach, I can be up there with some cash and a trailer in 2 hours. If the price is right, of course..

Their are two 69 TA's that are restored.. The one that I posted here in the pic is the one that might be available for sale.. I am working on getting pricing for all the projects, especially the 69 & 70 TA's with the 70 Formula.. also has a 70 C10 fleetside chevy short bed that I want.. This guy has no need or wants to sell.. but is considering on selling some of these projects to me.. I will have more info next week..
Hoping that I can go in their & make an offer & sweep all these project cars!! If we pick these projects up.. We are going to be very busy this year...
Envisioning what the 69 TA will look like with stretched fenders :D

Here are some pics of the 69 TA that was pulled from the barn.. The car was brought over to the shop so that I could see if this one was better than the first one that I posted.. Hell Yes!! That is the orginal paint on the car with the stripes.. this is one very solid car.. LA built car.. don't have the original drive train.. This would make a great Pro-Tour car :D

When I was looking for my cuda I checked out one guys collection in LA where he had 20+ cars packed into his back yard. You couldn't open the doors to most of them because they were packed in so tight. He claimed he wanted to sell them all, but $6k for a rust bucket 73 b-cuda that doesn't drive is crazy. He posts the cars on craigslist every once in a while.
Congrats! I wanna stop by the shop sometime! I think I'm driving down to Ventura this weekend for a car show.

Great pack of Pontiac's Cris. Hopefully the guy will start selling the cars to good homes. I hate to see cars like this rot away. You've got run foot in the door and he see's your caring interest in there Pontiac's so he may end up selling you most in his collection if you are truly interested. How did the guy act when you first met him and asked him about his collection? Keep us posted.

I've been to that same yard. "al" on Craigslist. I've also seen "vector" and I think "veronica" too. I went to check what was advertised as a '67 Firebird 400 4 speed. turns out it was a rusty 6 cylinder shell. He had other junk there, too. However, he's regularly posting ads, so someone must be buying it..
I'm still in awe over the '69 T/A.
