View Full Version : 1965 Mustang Convertible
We had a customer bring us this Mustang that he had another shop replace the quarters and paint. He was not happy with the paint so we stripped it and started over. He had installed a Cobra rear and it needed fender flares to clear his new wheels and tires.

Are those the sn65 flares that NPD + the Jullian bros. sell? if so how was the fit/finish? I know the sn65 flares need final assembly
They are fiberglass from an E2 kit and I had to extend the front because of no side exhaust.

Rusty what color red did you use on that 65? Is that the SPI you were talking about?
My car will be painted this month but I'm hearing a lot of negative press on the HOK clear coat over my blue blood red choice.
I'm looking for the redest of red with no brown or orange tint.

Thats a perfect picture for a gray day like today. Two beautiful naked bodies bathing in the sun . They look great. Nice work.

That is viper red and it looks a little strange in the picture. The best clear to use is from SPI.

What did you use to bond on the quarter ends?
We filled in the cowl vents

The front valance required a lot of work to get the right shape

I have used Nortons and 3M panel adhesive to bond the end caps on.
Here are a few pictures of the Mustang finished

Mmm, love the Shelby touches! I've never seen the in-board "Eleanor lights" on the early body style before.
