Can someone tell me how to safety wire button head cap screws? Does the wire go over the top of screw or the side? I did a search on the net and did find any information.

Thanks!

Right or wrong, idk...but I routed the wire around the side of the button head as best I could vs. pulling straight back across the head.

Hey thanks! I kind of did the same thing you did and went around the button head. As long as the don't back out i guess it's good:D

It should go around the bolt head and also should be tightening the bolt otherwise its pointless to have safetywire. hope that helps

You can try going to this site: https://assist.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/basic_profile.cfm?ident_number=41887 and look at revision J. It has a PDF file on how the military safety wires components. Also wilwood has a PDF document as well on how they want customers to safety wire their products. The link is here: http://www.wilwood.com/PDF/ds386.pdf
