Ok, so is it me or does it seem like the companies that promised first gen Firebird parts for once just gave everyone the cold shoulder?:_paranoid

Here is what i don't understand...Everyone makes billet and trick parts for the camaro, yet no one has taken the market on firebird parts. The first company to come out with parts will LEAD the way in the firebird market and increase revenue. Yes i understand parts cost $$ to make and there is design time, but companies pop out parts almost overnight for camaros. I have a bunch of great ideas, as im sure other firebird owners do as well.

I guess all I'm saying is show us some love!

Any company is going to go for the bigger market first. In this case the first gen Camaros. I am in a similar boat as you. I have a second gen Camaro and the manufacturers have been slow to get parts going. BUT they are doing it. I see more and more cool parts all the time. My guess is that as more demand is made for Firebird parts then the parts will follow.
If it makes you feel better, if I had a CNC I would make you some parts. :D
Right after I made ME some parts.

my grandfather has a 5,000 sqft warehouse for his cars and has a fully computer driven CNC machine. He bought it because it was a good deal, However he cant even use a microwave...seriously. And i have no idea how to use it. Im sure id have to use cad and design a part and upload the file.

ok

i would find somone who loves cars in your area(?) and who can work with some programming and hit the start button.make something and put it on your car ..take pictures...get interest and sell them..once you have a piece designed and its dialed in put them on ebay or become a sponsor here and start selling...everyone starts somwhere ..YOUR HALF WAY THERE... GO FOR IT....

I never have understood these types of posts. If you want parts for a car build them. If you want everything made for you buy a 69 Camaro and get the catalogs and credit cards out.;)

It's pretty hard to build your own billet parts if you dont have the right tools and knowledge how to use them, and then messing up a big chunk of aluminum can get kinda pricey too!

Its not just billet parts. Just parts in general for cars not so popular. I pick cars not so main steam so I won't look like everyone else. I do know going in that parts are harder to come by. As for billet I give it another 2-3 years before billet jumps the shark IMO. I have already watched it happen in the 90's with the street rod world and it will happen with muscle cars too.

What are you looking for specifically? Many of the parts that fit Camaros also fit Firebirds. Hood hinges, door strikers, door jamb vents, hood stops, trunk hinges are all available for Firebirds. Taillight bezels are available for 69. Lots of parts have been prototyped for the 2nd gens and coming out soon.
