Does it matter what color DP-90 epoxy to use to seal the metal? My plan is to use black and then follow with a grey high build primer for blocking. Probably a stupid question, but I had to ask.

Not a problem at all putting a black epoxy underneath your 2k primer.I do that all the time. If you haven't opened that dp-90 you can get some southern polyurethanes epoxy instead. Their primers are imo head+ shoulders over ppg products. If need more info on southern polyurethanes you can pm me I'll give you the owner of spi cell number for you to call for more info. Not trying bash ppg but already been down this road too many times and there are alot better quality products out there. You need to remember you are making your foundation for your paint job. What you put underneath a paint job is paramount for the longevity of your paint job.my 2-cents Joe.
