SOLD./..

I originally had the rotating assembly listed for sale but now the entire package is available. Cost me close to $12K to put together, but I no longer have a car for it to go into.

I've decided to sell this short block assembly "unassembled". I know if I were purchasing these items I would like to do the final machining assembly or have the engine builder of my choice do the work.

Included in this package...

LS7 BLOCK

-the block started as a new LS7 block in march 2008
-It was recently ( last week) resleaved with Darton M.I.D. liners by Steve @ Race Engine Development ( will require finish bore, hone, rod clearance)

-Machine work completed on the block
1) stress relieved
2) machine /install/ "0" deck block
3) includes ARP main studs ( used for align hone)
4) cam bearings installed
5) GM billet main caps

-More info on the Darton M.I.D. system can be found here...

-Darton M.I.D. tech manual

This assembly is completely balanced and marked for easy install.

It includes the following components..

A) Custom 4.185 katech FORGED pistons

-.927 DLC coated pins

-factory deck height install
-uses standard JE Ring pack Part# JE J70008-4185-5

1.105 Compression Height (this is “0” deck @ 9.235 Block Height)
4.185 Bore (install these with 0.0043-.0055 P/W clearance)
Designed for 11:1 Compression w/ 69cc combustion chamber/4.125 stroke

NOTE: The PIP mark on the crown of the piston needs to face the REAR of the engine upon installation.

(If standing in front of the engine, ALL pin offsets will be to the left.)

B) GM Titanium Rods

- use standard .927 chevrolet pin
- Rods include ARP fasteners
- Katech rebushed small end with high modulous bushings ( $700 upgrade)

C) Custom Callies Magnum crank shaft ( waited 3 months for this one)

- 4.125" stroke
- clearanced for factory GM titanium Rods
- 58 tooth reluctor wheel installed/welded into place
- gun drilled
- chamfered oil holes
- pilot bearing installed
- completly balanced for the Katech piston/Ti rod assembly ( 1042 grams each)
- long snout for LS7 applications ( can be cut off for wetsump/LSX builds)
- keyed for driving LS7 oil pump OR LS1 style pumps
-drilled for ATi pin to avoid balancer slipage
-standard 350 chevrolet clevite 77 H series bearings both mains and rod.

Crank is 11 lbs lighter than stock. 4.185 pistons weigh less than the stockers ( this thing spins WAYY faster than a stock LS7 motor). Each piston/Rod assembly weighs just 1042 grams!!!!

Hey Kevin You beat me to it. Congrats on the purchase. I should have sold you mine then Mikes may have been still available. But like the same... someone deposited before you did.
You are getting a sweet set up from Mike. Im surprised it took this long to sell.
Kinda gives you an idea on the economy when it comes to funds.
Cheers,
Dave
