Hey all,
Uncle Sam is sending me to sunny Afghanistan to "get to know" some of the local Taliban, so I'm getting my hot rod ready for a year of beauty sleep. I have a few questions on the best way to make sure everything stays tip-top while I'm gone. So far, I've run down the gas tank to near-empty and was planning on putting in a can of Sta-bil. Secondly will wash and wax the car and it will be covered the whole time. Plan on disconnecting the battery completely. Last thing is to put the car on jackstands. I will pull the wheels off and I've heard it's best to keep the weight on the springs, so where should I put the jackstands? Is it ok to put them under the front A-Arms (I have tubulars) and the rear end housing (Currie 9-inch)?
Any other advice is welcome. Thanks!
