I was surprised by the answer. Without looking it up of course, and we'll know if you do...http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/images/smilies/guilty.gif
lol...guess the difference in overall length between the longest 1st gen Camaro, the '69 vs. the shortest tri-five Chevy, the '55 sedan.

Are you referring to wheelbase or overall length?
I think the 55's wheelbase would be a few inches longer (maybe 6" or 7"), but bumper to bumper it would be much more significant.

I was referring to the differences in the overall lengths.

are they equal?
I'll measure when I get home, I've got a 69' Camaro and a 57' Chevy setting side by side... Should get me very close...

Since I revealed the answer on pro-t might as well here it is 9.5".

'69 Camaro 186" vs. '55 Chevy sedan 195.6".
I know that's what it says on the spec pages, but in my mind the '55 seems way longer. Maybe someone here that has 1 of each will comment on this optical 'delusion' ;).

I've always figured the '57's were pretty long with the fins and bumperettes, etc. But to me, the '55 always did seem more compact, so I wouldve guessed even less, maybe 5-6". I'm actually surprised that it's as much as it is, but we all know that about 8" of that is the bumpers alone since they stick out a LOT around each corner of the tri-5's. I bet if you took the bumpers off the '55, they'd be the same. Granted you can't run with no rear, but no front looks kinda cool.

The '57's were 200" and the '56's 197" and change I think.
These kind of pics led me to believe it was longer than the actual 9.6" difference vs. the '69 Camaro.
