I am looking for 3" stainless steel V-bands are have found some at good price at ebay. Are they all the same or is one better than other ?
Plese no links to burns , i am not looking them made of billet inconel:lol:

No they are not. Some are really trick with male and female reciever grooves in them, some are just flat Vee Bands. In the end, the regular Vee bands are good enough for us mere mortals.

in addition to what Frank said, there also can be a difference in the stud and nut size. Many of the 3" ones I use are small 1/4" diameter studs and nuts, and I have had those pull the base of the stud out of the collar that holds it in. The ones I've preferred are the larger 5/16" studs and nuts, never hurt one of those. They look identical other than stud size.
I am probably over-tightening them, don't know. It isn't the stud and nut that fails, it's the little collar that holds the stud to the clamps. The larger ones just seem to be stronger there. The ones that lasted for me were from Dynatech.

I will get those same as Jody has used. So there is not any sealing advantage in male / famale system ?
I am going to install my mufflers with V-band. I have loud and quiet ones ,and want be able to change them when i feel like.

they seal great plus allow you to be able to clock sections of the exhaust if need be. More ground clearance too.
