That is just right out of the mill, not polished.

So you got on here to publicly complain before you have even tried to call Tom Nelson? Last I checked Tom was still Human, Maybe he made a mistake, or maybe you thought you paid for the polished manifold and in reality you did not. You should call a vendor before your try and drag their name through the mud publicly.

I think you need to relax. He wasn't dragging anyone through the mud. He specifically states that he was going to give Nelson a call. Besides, its obvious this intake has some killer potential.

Did I not say he is a good guy who does nice work?????????? I was publicly asking if any one had got this same manifold. WHERE IS THE MUD IN THAT

Either way you want to slice it, I think you should call Tom Nelson First.
Plus a large portion of your pics focus in on imperfections common with machine parts like that. Those manifolds are awesome pieces.

I saw this post and thought cool let see what Allen wrote hes got to be stoked.Allen you have me totally confused.I had a phone conversation with you when we bolted it on and sent you photos just like these of it bolted on the motor a month before we shipped it,asking if you wanted it polished which i suggested you do and that i felt i looked out of place Raw unfinished on this engine and without our covers and your responce to me was that everything in your engine bay was billet so you wanted it to stay billet. Is that not right? That was the reason for that call.It was clear as day to me.Its no problem if you want it polished send it back and i'll polish it.But i've got to say this is a weird post i spent a week on the dyno for you for next to nothing and have offered to tune the car here for free with splitting the shipping because this is the first intake conversion on a Gm 572 crate and want it right, and its important to me.Not to mention making a 620 hp gm crate pump out 680 with a intake swap. Why not just call me.rather than this Give me a call today and lets straighten this out.The last thing i want is a unhappy customer so lets make it right. But you've got me Flustered.

I cant get you on the phone until night usually. If any one took this post in a negative way it was not intended to be. Part of this fourm is for asking questions that you do not know answers to. Some one telling me these imperfections are normal in the unfinished intake helps me out. Tom I give you a call.

When you send the car here i will polish it for you on me.I would prefer to do it this way because. You need to bolt it on with the upper lid off and pressure check the upper lid when you put it on.If you haven't done it before its easy to scratch the polish or rip an o-ring and i would feel better about it.I'm your friend on this Allen I'm not trying to get anything out of you on it.Give me a call and will work it out. This i wanted to be a flag ship for bolting this on a Gm 572 turn key.We obviously had a miss understanding.I want you to be happy.

I talked with tom today is was a misunderstanding. He has a great company and is a smart guy. He gave me a great deal on tuning it and if I can send him it for a final he will polish it to. Again this was not ment to be negitive I would recommed anyone to have work done by nelson racing.

Sounds like you guys agree. I have done a bunch of business with Tom and he has always been fair. I talked with Tom last time I was out there and he was stoked about the increase in HP the intake made on YOUR motor...and BTW that is a heck of a motor you have there Allen. Nice !!

That is one bad-ass intake. It's stunning work Tom. If I was already running fuel injection, I'd love to have one of those. For the looks and for the performance gain that you mentioned. Also, your posts here prove a lot about your commitment to your customers.

thats correct but I needed the electramotive since it no longer has a distributor. The big bonus is it will clear the stock ss hood as well.

That is very nice awesometool.
So, this now makes 680 horses correct? I see you are using the complete crate motor with just the NRE intake being the upgrade?
Very nice!!:hail:

It stock crate so lowering the intake and being able increasing to 680 is amazing. Not every likes the stock ss hood but I really wanted to keep on this one.

I kind of like the unpolished look but would have to see in person. That is one handsome intake:yes: I think I need to see if I have an extra $8k laying around somewhere. Great engineering. Does one have to eliminate their distributor for this?

dont these things dyno upwards of 660 from gm? I know they are rated for 620 but i thought they made more the advertised.

636 hp thats with a good header and 40 degrees of lead was the best number on my dts .My dyno is prettty tight though i usually gain 55hp if i were to bring same motor from my Dyno to Westech.Superflows almost always read 4 to 8% happier than mine becuase they way they correct it.
