Sorry to hear that Bill, seems kind of early for the tranny to let go.

I've heard nothing but good things about the T56 Magnum, maybe look into one of those.

Ryan,
Did you modify your tunnel when you put the T-56 in your car?

Ryan,
Did you modify your tunnel when you put the T-56 in your car?

No tunnel mods, just had to cut the shifter hole further back. Mine is a standard T56 from an 2002 Camaro. I recently rebuilt it with a stage II kit from the Gearbox Co. And installed a new Spec Stage 3+ clutch

For the money I spent rebuilding it I should have just gone with the T56 Magnum.

Yes ATS X-member, stock subframe. Your Speedtech frame should be fine. I'd check with Blake.

Ryan, Talked with Blake should be no problem!
The reason for this post is obviously is that Keisler's service is terrible does not follow up its been four day's no answer? they want to sell transmissions but not service them :thmbsdwn:

Bill, if you swap to a T56 Magnum, be sure to get some measurements on where the shifter will end up being located. It is about three inches further forward on a Magnum than an LS1 F Body T56. Not sure how those compare to a TKO. You might end up having to redo part of your center console, so be careful.

The speedtech frame has a pretty neat adjustable cross member, you shouldn't have any problems.

That's what's in my car now.

Getting the T-56 ready for install i did a lot of research for installing T-56 without Tunnel modifications ... The T56 is a larger transmission than your stock transmission. and the TKO If you are using the proper LS motor mount kit, the LS T56 will fit in the tunnel of the 1967-1974 Camaros without having to cut or enlarge the tunnel.
Note: If you are using incorrect LS motor mounts, if you have shorter, non-stock sub-frame bushings, or if your stock bushing are worn and compacted, the T56 may not fit within your tunnel without modifications

With having the Complete Speedtech sub-frame- LS Motor mounts and the Solid body mounts the T-56 fit like a glove !

We changed the lakewood bellhousing to this SFI-approved Quicktime scattershield. The main benefit here is that its compact design takes up less space in our already crowded trans tunnel.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/Quicktimebell.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/Quicktimebell.jpg.html)

The new DYAD DS twin-disc Part # 04614842

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG_001.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG_001.jpg.html)

Every DYAD DS clutch that ships from Centerforce comes with what they call a “birth certificate” specific to that unit. It gives all sorts of helpful data like compression depth, travel to release, average clamp load, and most importantly, the average torque holding capacity. In our case it’s 1,387 pounds.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/DYADCLUTCHSPECS-1-a.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/DYADCLUTCHSPECS-1-a.jpg.html)

Centerforce’s solution was to lighten up a steel flywheel. By removing weight from the outer edge, the flywheel gains much of the benefit found in an aluminum flywheel.....“The entire assembly weighs 45.8 pounds!

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-24.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-24.jpg.html)

The DYAD DS is a ‘true sprung’ hub design with the main drive disc built from chromoly steel. The drive disc also has over an inch of spline engagement for stability and strength.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-25.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-25.jpg.html)

The floater then went on and was held in place by the three lugs on the flywheel. Centerforce marked both of these parts with machinist’s ink to let us know how to orientate them.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-26.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-26.jpg.html)

The floating disc is held by six drive pins rather than on the input shaft of the transmission. This meant aligning the clutch parts was a snap.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-28.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-28.jpg.html)

With all the discs in place, Tom could go ahead and install the pressure plate and secure it with the included high-strength fasteners.

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-29.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-29.jpg.html)

Before Stuffing the T-56 into the Evade Camaro we installed a new GM Performance Hydraulic throw-out bearing part #24264182

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-30b.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-30b.jpg.html)

In order to connect the current Hydraulic line Tom had Custom made a billet slave insert to connect the line

http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww1/wpano/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-30d.jpg (http://s700.photobucket.com/user/wpano/media/T-56%20Magnum%20Install/IMG-30d.jpg.html)

Now with the T-56 installed we adjusted the speed tech cross member back to fit and in order to get the correct pinion angle we to custom cut the cross member a half inch drop

Here is the gainesville raceway now called auto plus raceway!
Gainesville Raceway has a separate road course, which is purpose-built for vehicle testing and driving schools. Completed in 2000, the road course has 1.6 linear miles of asphalt, with a 1 mile long outer loop. The road course has multiple inter-connecting loops and turns for training exercises. It has been used extensively for law enforcement training, high-performance driving schools, and amateur and professional testing and tuning. The road course is equipped to handle corporate hospitality functions, autocrosses, and other events
