I just wanted to publically thank Chris and company. I have a set of his hinges on my 64 Chevelle, very nice pieces. I got the first set, and he's since tweaked them a bit, so he sent me out a set of the new ones to exchange at no charge. Can't get any better than that, and wanted to say so.

he definitely didn't have to, mine original ones were working fine. But he wasn't happy with the initial versions and made the offer, very cool.

Does the new version help with the minor fitment issue you had? What area did he change? Have a A/B comparison pic?

I was kind of waiting til Fesler wanted it "announced", so I hadn't said anything. But my car has been in Phx so Chris could tweak and finalize the hinges. I also want to publicly thank Chris and all those at Fesler. The hinges are on now. Words can't portray how awesome Chris has been to deal with. They have bent over backwards.
Hinges look amazing, but even better, they "glide" so smoothly and make the hood so easy to operate. I don't want to speak for Chris @ Fesler, but yes.... All fitment issues are resolved. They made a step out on the rear arm of the hinge which will allow direct bolt on. No cutting or other tweaking required. Very beautiful Chris. Thanks a million! :woot: Now get some pics up here!

64's maybe fixed, but the 65-67 still require a bump in the inner fender. I am sure they will eventually get to thos as well.

here's the pics with the differences he made for fit. The hinge on the right is the previous one and the one on the left is with the changes. He had to move the arm that goes down out, towards the engine, which changed a ton of other things to make it work.

there's the difference in the arm, which was was hit the lip on some fenders. Old one was straight.............

new one is offset........

http://www.camcojb.com/temp/malitude 712.jpgThanks for posting the differences. That basically requires a complete redesign to keep the geometry straight. Still only fits the 64 though., 65-67 still have to dimple.

No problem Jody, we could have left them but just did not feel right about it, did we have to fix them no but figured if we did some redesign work they would fit better and look better. They also open a little further now so they are more like the factory ones. Post a pic on the car if you can so people can see them. thanks

Yes Jason, thanks for leaving the car so we could get them right, it made things much eaiser on our end. We have no fixed them so there is no cutting or anything needed. Just bolts right on and fits perfect from what we have done. I will post some pics of Jasons car up here when we get it back from tunning.

Jody, I think its the opposite??? The one on left is new - right is old. Cause one on left has the stepout.
