I will find out, I have one on order. My friend, Jason, who owns Motorsport Technologies, says he can get me 100+ hp with his head/cam package. He has a set of the new heads and after his port/polish they flowed over 400cfm! After I run it, I will be sending it to him.

I did not know that there were bolt ons already for the LS-7. I pretty sure very little from the LS1,2,6 will cross over from what I have been reading. At any rate, those are some wicked numbers. A factory near 10 sec car with a few bolt-ons. Put some slicks on and it may be 10 sec. I think it may topple the Cobra as the baddest American factory hot rod built.

Since the C5-R has been around a while, shops like MTI should have a good handle on what head/cam combos work on that motor.

What an animal. :hail:

Chevy is making it hard to have the fastest car on the block for sure. My car all of the sudden seems underpowered.

2 years ago I am thinking that I am building a hairy-chested motor for the street that is going to make about 450 hp at the rear wheels. Now everyone has a TT motor making 1000hp and even factory cars(z06) are making my number. To run that fast in the quarter that motor is making more than the 505 claimed. I know they are running a different standard, but trapping a 127 mph...

Nothing against Ford, but their muscle car version in 07 will never handle as good as a the LS7 vette, since their is no NEW Camaros to pick on. Of course their is always the Ford GT!!

i agree.... the new mustang isnt anywhere near the Z06. just nice to see the auto manufactures putting some effort into "musclecars"

I agree. With so much unique content, the car shows tremendous initiative on the part of GM. I'm saving up for a 2008 Z06. so far I have......one, two, three.....11 dollars.

Guys, at SEMA 06 you can rent a Z06 in Vegas. Now that would be a kick.

Anyone know when the dealers will take delivery of the ZO6's?

I am definitely purchasing the Z06 about one year later than its release. I want all the hype to calm down. I sold my Lemans 04 Z06 just to have the nice big deposit ready. :unibrow:

The Ford Cobra is very nice too, the problem is nobody knows its retail price and forget about the markups at the dealer since its a Shelby Cobra. Its going to be an expensive car but relatively easy to change a pulley, exhaust, add CIA, and whoala-another 100HP.

No. That would be a mistake. I have to be AT the show, not making banzai runs through the desert all day and night.

I was on CorvetteForums last night and I read that one of the supporting dealers has pre-sold his ZO6 allotments for the next 2 to possibly 3 years!

If you build it, they will come. :D

And I'll be able to drive one at the GM dealership I work at :) Already driven the new C6 and that is one very fun car on its own. Couldn't imagine it with a 427 under the hood and all the extra power! I would definitely buy one if the wallet allowed... NOT FOR A WHILE!!!

I got my VIN # this morning. It's on a truck in Kentucky and should arrive at Paddock Chev, Kenmore, New York next Monday. Needless to say, my trailer will be there waiting...

I guess that means 19's will hook and I am assuming that was on factory delivered tires. So much for 19's being poser size anymore.

So now I am just a half poser? LOL
Actually, my 20" rear wheels and tires are the same that come on a viper. Surely Chrysler did not intend for it to be a poser, at least the ones I have driven weren't Posers.
