It's a very cool, well designed car. Will be interesting to see what it goes for.

Way cool car but it is going to take a special buyer for sure. Does anybody know what the build cost was?

I'm giggling about the stitched leather covers over the CV boots.

Neat car but it's too "showy" for me, the reason above being one of many!

It wasn't at Pleasanton or any other Good Guys show. You're thinking of JF Launier's phantom Chrysler wagon that was in the Great 8 but not the Ridler winner.

And as for the leather CV boots, that's what it takes to win the Ridler these days and while showy, it was built for the biggest indoor award in the Country so that's kind of the point. Wes Rydell's Ridler winning 35 Chevy had the same treatment and still sees plenty of miles.

I was told 1.2 million.

Thanks, that is alot of coin but I think there was a past winner that had even a higher build cost. I don't get it but I suspect my tax bracket has something to do with that LOL. Who knows maybe 1.2 mil for the owner is like me having a $100 in my pocket.

Well have you ever heard of Warn Winches.
Thats the owner of the car.

I am guessing it doesn't sell right now.

Personally, while its an extremely well thought out and put together car, it's not my cup of tea so to speak. For me to shell out that kind of coin I would have to love the over all look of the car, which I don't. I think the group of people that this will appeal to is small and the ones who could pay for it are probably fewer.

While it is unique and different and that's why it wins awards, I think that will also make it harder to sell.

The same collector who bought "Lowla" the 48 Buick that Tim built was going to buy this as well as a few other of Tim's cars, all top dollar. The Buick was air-freighted over to Dubai to start the collection off. Sadly, he and 6 others were killed in a private helicopter crash on the Arab Peninsula.

I don't know if anyone already asked this...but if not, why is the owner is selling so quickly?

My guess is Mr warn likes the journey or the build not the actual end product. 10 bucks says he builds another really soon. The guys who go to Divers I'm sure are guys who just love to geek out on the build. They don't really care about much else beyond the problem solving and story of the build.

Just my sluggish economy based 2 cents....

I think it's looks like an old Volvo.

I agree with most of the posts here... The buyer probably likes the technical side of the build more than the overall looks of the car itself.
I think it's cool and all but if I had a choice I would take a regular Ferrari off the show room floor.

Maybe the only taste I have is in my mouth.

Not something that I'd own, but it's fun to look at.

The execution on this car is remarkable and the subtlness of it just makes the whole look ecs in the interior really simple and well thought out nothing like hauling a big engine behind you better than a gun rack behind you i guess. lol

My experience with those type of builds have always been about the chase, then the victory.I'm glad there are people that build cars of this caliber,They let the builders express there talent and come up with the ideas that can maybe spread to other people's builds. The Riddler cars are a whole diffrent breed.I looked at the 56 wagon that Neil Lee built that was just a great eight finalist and was blown away with the detail and fit of that car. They are fun to look at.

I saw this car in person and the old cliche that pictures don't do it justice is true. The details are over the top. When the key is turned, the windows around the engine roll down so it can "breath." They used the Ferrari back glass behind the cockpit, the one off luggage, etc. The egg crate grill designed to look like the 50's Ferrari's. The color was so deep it looked like it was red plastic.

I agree with Tracy, I love the fact that there are people out there willing to spend that kind of loot to go against the grain and build these things. There was a lot of talk at the Autorama that is was not 'traditional' enough...

If that was 1.2 to build, wasn't the rumor on B Johnsons 'cuda 1.5? What would you buy if you had to choose between the two?

Awesome body style, engineering is outstanding for what it is. Not much on the whole rear engine scheme but nice regardless. And what's with the name , Ferrambo? Sounds like a Sly S******e movie.

And it's Ridler, named after Don Ridler.

Are you talking about BJ cover car? Remember what happened when Bob J. was on the cover...he got the shaft. I still love that cuda

It's a great car, but what's the point in owning it?

It's too nice to drive and too impractical if you did. And with the crappy economy in this country you can pretty much forget about it appreciating in value, so there goes your investement.

Again, a phenomenal build but there are better (and wiser) ways to invest one million dollars.

Just to ad to someones collections I would guess. Look at how many "Pro" built cars, you see them one year, or one show, and they're never seen again.
