Here are some pics of the DEMON finished up .
We have been driving it all weekend , the response is amazing.
Sure is a looker.

Drives absolutely awesome, steers, handles and rides unreal . This is our 1st car with Airride and I am sure we will be using there stuff ALOT more in future builds. There products are 1st rate. I cant wait to see how it does in Tenn.

I have a small list of things to do before we head out for Tenn.
Fuel gauge isnt working, Tach signal reads wrong and it needs the front end aligned. Also need to make a alum air intake tube and get the filter away from the Radiator.

Anyway here are a few pics.

Looks awesome, and I am not normally a Mopar fan. Love the color and great choice on the wheels.

How is the clearance on the front wheels to the fender? Looks close even at ride height.

At that ride height is is great , turns lock to lock with no issues. I am NOT sure what will happen when it gets pushed hard. I have had it out on some backroads and had no issues....well see.

WOW...badass PLUS! It's an honor to have our suspension on your project. I definately want good pictures at Pigeon Forge. Are you driving/racing at Pigeon Forge? It's always a bitch to put that first chip in the paint. It does get easier after that though. Thanks for the preview!

Bret , I love your products hands down...its just what these cars need to just make them that much cooler.
Handles GREAT , rides GREAT !
I will be in TN on Tuesday next week for a little family vacation for a few extra days.

Then friday the car is all yours if you want it. I plan to autocross it, drag race it...whatever . The car is not perfect and has a few chips now.

WAIT till our 66 T-Bird is done....that will be way different, and BIG , LOL !!
We used your front set up and made our own airbar set up for the rear, 10" Rear Fikse's and slammed with fender skirts !!

RTTH4 is a event in the smokey Mountains of Tenn. Pigeon Forge to be exact .
Bill Howell (media whore) started this event some years ago that started out with a cruise , dinner and autocross along with drag racing.
This is spanned out over 3 days and has grown considerably.

Here is a link to Musclerides about this years event. http://www.musclerides.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=2945

If you can register on Musclerides and do some searching around.
Its a cool site for every PT car , hotrodder etc...

Jason, wish I could make it this year, but I still make VEGAS. Anyway a good buddy of mine will be there this year and I made him Join Lateral G tonight. (spicerMTR) Scott came to Vegas with me last year and I took him to the G party. He's been in the business from Birth and recently took over his fathers parts business. Lots of OEM part going back to the 40's I told him to look up all you guys. He knows Bill Howel and Yanci pretty well. He worked on Poison Dart before it went to Barret Jackson. Stand up guy.

Do you have any photos of the suspension at all?

I would like to do this to my Road Runner one day

So please sum up how was the whole Hemi install compared to a LSX in a older car?
or
Should my question be how was it dialing in a Hemi in a old Mopar compared to installing a LSX in a Chevy?

Same, better, worse, or just new and different and climbing on the learning curve?

Well with the chevy you have motor mounts and a crossmember, on this set up it took all new suspension to pull it off the right way .

You can use the factory Mopar suspension but there are a few more little things to address when doing that . I couldnt have it that way as I did not want torsion bars in it anymore.

The LS is much cheaper. On the Mopar you have to changethe PS pump since the factory is a much higher pressure. LS you can use stock .
Mopar electronics just plain suck, so the option if doing a factory computer was out for me. That leaves a big dollar wiring harness and stand alone computer. AEM engine management and a cable TB was about 4k compare to a similar set up with GM using a stock computer would have been about $1000.
The 5 speed set up was also much more at $5500 to get it in the car correctly. LS would have been much cheaper.

As far as the work its about the same and no big deal really, just the exspense caught me off guard.
I often joked that I should have put a LS engine in the DEMON.

I will say that I am VERY impressed how the stock 6.1 Engine runs with a stick and a good exhaust system. The car is light and you can really tell.
I plan to run it at RTTH on the drag strip to see how it does. I predict about 90 mph 1/8 runs. I think that would put it in the high 11's low 12's somewhere.

The car is like a go cart , precise handling . I am really in love. I just put in some 3 point seat belts and belts in the back for the kids. I plan to use this everyday rain or shine. What fun is it to have these cars and not drive them , right???

It probably will cost less to drive that my Diesel Dually.

The Demon was made by Dodge. Plymouth's version was the Duster.
