Fesler Built 1970 NOVA SS Project Build [Archive]

OK so the 1970 Chevy NOVA is starting to be a popular car so I thougth I would share one of our latest builds. We are building this car for everyday driving and some track time so its mild but will sit very cool.

I will post pics of the build as we go but here are some of the products we are using

GM Performance LS7 engine
GM Perfromance 4L65E tranny
Chris Alston's Chassie works full sub frame set up
Currie 9-inch rear end
Wilwood 6 Piston brakes
Air Ride Technologies air system
Fesler Billet Hood Hinges
Fesler Billet Tail Lights
Fesler Billet aluminum washer kit
Fesler FS 905 wheels 19X9.5 front & 19X12 rear
Michelin 285/35ZR19s front & 345/30ZR19 rear

Still deciding on other parts, I will try to update as we move along.

OK so we tear the car down to nothing and send it out to be meda blasted and sealed so it cant rust while we do the work on it.

Cut out any rust and remove the frame rails as we are going to build a custom tubs

Looks like another nice project you guys have going together.

You have mentioned your Bolt kits numerous times but I can't find any pics on your site. Do you have any pics. Interested in the style and material. Are they alum or stainless?

They are aluminum and they are on our store. I will post them up on the web as well. But if you look at the Black 69 "Draco" you can see it all over the engine bay.

Its painted and ready for the SEMA rush so we will start working on it Monday to put in our booth at SEMA we will see how far we get. I will start posting shots up along the way. It looks sweet and we used the new PPG water based paint.

Chris are you going to be using the Stainless Steel Shroud around the shockwave to reduce heat from the exhaust or is the picture just an illusion that the exahust is close.

This is a nice silver color....entirely different from what we wanted on ours which is dark charcoal.

Chris- Car is looking good. The only thing i'm not digging is the rim design. Looking forward to seeing this at sema.

Its a good thing we all have different taste, I dont control what wheels customers pick and if we all liked the same thing this place would be boring. I did not like the at first but when you see them on the car dumped they look great.

I have to admit probably would not of been my first choice of rims but the contrast with the chrome and black look amazing non the less,

As for Troys ride dont get me started! i know thats all a personal preference in style and design but that car with the "i think" under sized wheels and grey/ charcoal look on it wow no contrast. Nothing against the build itself amazing in typical troy fashion! asual but the whole look was very forgetable, IMPO But like Chris siad thats why we get paid to do what customers want!
its just wheels really make up the character of the ride and i'll hold my judgement on Chris's Nova till complete but you can feel the look coming together really loving the look so far and if it anything close to the black 69 camaro it will be remarkable! keep up the great work!:hail:

Great work on all your cars. I am building a 66 mustang coupe (not as radical as anything you are doing) was woundering if you would give out the paint code it looks wicked? If not I understand. Keep building killer rides Chris.

Its from a Nissan Silver with lots of metalic, not sure on the year but I think from one of the sports cars. If you go to the dealer they have it in the touch up colors.

It is a REALLY nice car. Any chance of getting a full body shot of it? And not to be picking on anyone, but that mastercylinder just looks out of place on such a nice build. Is it a temp part till you get a special order one or something?

We did exactly what he wanted, he wanted the car to look as it was done by GM so we left everything stock that we could just dressed the car with the right touches. He is very happy with it and that is all that matters. Are there things I would have done different yes but I dont own the car.

Car should be done next week it will be in our booth at SEMA. just finishing everything up now. I will update the post on that and a 1969 Camaro we are doing that will be in our booth as well.

we will post up pics of that build after SEMA, it’s a very mild build for my painter. its just a daily driver nothing fancy about it.
