The inner fender wells turned out so clean that I was afraid they would get cut up too much for header clearance...... WRONG...... Ironworks did their magic again (I guess I shouldn't second guess Rodger anymore).

Here is the inner fenderwell before header clearance has been added. I love this shot..... all of the fasteners are hidden!

Man, That Kinsler Crossram looks great on there. We might have to try a Precision Manifold just to see what it loks like, I have one laying around, Should we give it a try? What do ya think?

The Kinsler Cross-Ram is Rodger's....... I had him put it on there for this latest batch of pics. Maybe he won't miss it..............

I might not miss the crossram, it is the 484 cu in LSX with Allpro heads that was port matched to that Kinsler manifold. Would be interesting in there but would be alot of power for a daily driver.

600hp Farm Truck: NICE!

If you look at the Kinsler Cross-Ram in the pic below, you can see fuel rail below the manifolds AND you can see that the manifolds are machined to accept two more fuel rails on top....... serious fuel flow (hp) there!!!!

Rodger

Well, since you have one lying around... I don't think anyone would refuse to see pictures of it mocked up. Those manifolds are really nice. Hell, we bought one pretty much based on looks, and also because we couldn't justify spending as much on an intake as we did on an engine. On this car however, I think the Kinsler intake might look better. Never thought I'd say it but Jeff's manifold might might not stand out much here among all of the other nice hand formed panels. What color are you planning on painting the engine bay?

In any case, pictures of both please :unibrow:

I like the Precision Manifold for the fact it is smooth just like the rest of the car. The engine looks like a Diamond in the jewelry box. Nothing sticks out more then the other to your eye. The Kinsler is awesome but just the wrong style unless we cut up your car even more.

Thanks for the inquiry.

We are about to do more on my Nova. There is a lot of detail work to get done, like fully welding the frame, etc.

We are, however, digitizing the control arms..... which will lead to the design of billet control arms.

Right now, the goal is to get it on the ground, verify suspension geometry and steering geometry.

Eric has been kind enough and busy enough at work to allow us to work on some of the other pressing projects we have going on. Things are busier in the the shop then they might have ever been in the past. I have hired some new guys in the past few months and I'm working to get them up to speed. I have some guy from Northern California and another from North Carolina that are looking to try out for a job here, we shall see how these new guys work out.

Just been doing some research on tranaxles and come accross your car.I was blown away with the the detail of your project.
Iam an engineering student from Perth, Western Australia.
Iam learning solid works (2010) and was looking for some models of transaxles so I could do some design work to fit one to my 1957 Holden Panel van as a solidworks project for uni.
If you have some models of the rear end that I could go over and look at in detail to give me some ideas on how to mount that would be very helpful. Size and dementions of the transaxle.
Hopefully once I finsh uni (2 years ) I can start to build it
cheers

You have to be a member of SEMA to get the files. When you get the files from SEMA they mandate that you don't share the files. Sorry I'm of no help. But Maybe SEMA can help.

Tim,

Rodger (Ironworks) located a transaxle, transmission, and a torque tube for me early on in the build, so I could actually take measurements from the components.

There has been some recent progress. Ironworks is finishing up the front and rear control arms. Once these are done, and I borrow some shop wheels and tires (rumor has it there are some Intros available), I could put the car on the ground. Its been awhile since rubber touched the ground.

I have a couple of weddings to get through this year (Kids!).
