View Full Version : Machined Stainless Steel hardware from Ring Brothers
When I saw these on the shelf at Ring Brothers, I had to have a few for my car. It's these little details that make all the difference. I picked up just enough to replace the fasteners that you could see under the hood.

They finally have those out now??? How much for the camaro, and are they car specific?
Yep, they're available now. They had a big assortment. You can order as many of any size that you'd like. I just got a few in 5/16" and 3/8". Not sure about a kit, but that would be a very good question to ask them when you call.

Hmmmm... I wonder if I could convince my CNC lathe guy at work that I need about 400 of those for "tooling."

When i talked to them about what we needed for the OLC project they didn't have a kit but did have 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and i think a metric size or two. They are absolutely increadible pieces.
I should note that they are transitioning to a new website and their e-mail isn't working just yet. Just give them a call at 608-588-7399.

That's a lot like what I use except the washers are "deeper". Very nice. What do the back sides look like?
The perfect design would have a small raised disc on the back to help paint deformation remain unseen. Mine are flat on the back.
Also, what is the rough cost per a washer?
They sure make sweet stuff.

The washers are flat on the back. All told, the total height, washer plus bolt is about the same as a standard button head.

I was talking to Jim this morning and they are updating the site today with a whole new format. It's up now but I am not sure if it is "done" - I don't think the store is up and running yet, etc. Some patience may be required while it is fully brought on line.
In the short term, you should just call them: 608-588-7399

Thanks fo the reply , will check out the site after I type this response. In going to their site I see nothing about the products or stainless steel fasteners. Am I correct that I should 1. call them about the underhood fasteners or wait until their store opens?

Jim called me back this afternoon and depending on size, price was roughly $6.75 each for 1/4", $7.40 for 5/16, and $7.80 for 3/8".
Edit: prices changed to show actual retail cost.

Just spoke with Jim this morning. What a great guy, truly a car guy and a real personal guy. We talked for about 45 min on stuff and he is just cool. They make first class stuff with REAL engineering and never knocks anyone's stuff off. I ordered a set of the hood bolts. He has a good supply of them, so get them now. He has quite a few things coming for the first gen camaro too.

I just received my order from Ring brothers for my fasteners and the pictures posted here do not do them justice. Can't believe show sharp they actually look! Fantastic! I know when I need something else I will be calling them for hood hinges, or anything else I can afford or hide from my wife:lol:

Just put these on my Chevelle, what spectacular stuff. Ran mine over a polishing wheel just to add to the effect. Amazing what a difference these can make. Not inexpensive but too cool to pass up.

Scott, are most of the bolts under hood 5/16 or 1/4? I'm going to place my order soon
Most are 5/16. The larger hardware, like the bolts at the fender/firewall, are 3/8.

Thanks Scott, see you soon:cheers:
Just an FYI, Ring Brothers increased the washer diameter on the 3/8" bolts so that the washer will cover the entire slot/hole in the fender.
