I may have found a 94 chevy camaro with an LT1. I can buy the whole car for 2400. The only problem is it dies when it idles. What are the possibilities that could be wrong? Is this something I should steer clear of? Car has 160k but rebuilt engine has 20k.
This is for a swap into my 67 camaro

Is it showing a check engine light? Try and get it scanned instead of guessing what it might be, it will save you alot of time in the long run. The opti is one of the weak points of the LT1's but they are good engines. Let me know if you have any conversion questions and I will try and help.

TPS sensor or idle air valve is where i'd start looking. Does it die when you come off the throttle to idle, or just when its sitting there?

sounds a whole lot like a clogged or non working IAC motor. My jagaur did this and I fixed it and now it runs and idles great even with a cam. I am glad to hear your interested in a LT vs LS.

You will want a MSD opti anyway so swap it out, should solve the problem anyway
