Hey guys,
We've been working real hard the last few months on finishing our 67 Chevelle for SEMA. We'll be leaving Sunday. The car will debut in VIAIR's booth #25013.
Come by and visit and check out: "JOKER"

427 cu.in. motor, bored and stroked. Some of the goodies: Doug's headers, and Billet Specialties True Trac system (anodized black), custom intake by Fast Freddy, with four 48mm IDA Webers and stacks. Chassisworks Fab9 rear housing, Strange Third Member with all 12 bolt internals, Currie billet trailing arms, Baer 6 piston brakes and 14" rotors on all four corners, Air Ride Shock wave front with their LCA, Global West Uppers, 19x8 and 20x10 Rushforth Super Spokes, brushed and powder coated black chrome.
Big thank you to all our sponors: Original Parts Group, Nitto Tires, Air Ride Tech, Baer Brakes, Chassisworks, Rushfoth Wheels, Fast Freddy & Redline Weber Carbs, and of course VIAIR!
Paint scheme is a two tone flat GM Charcoal Grey, and gloss Toyota Green Metallic. Trim pieces are all powder coated flat black to match the car.
Custom stitched interior, in dark and light grey suede, with a hint of green stitching.
Looking forward to seeing you all there at the show! I'll post final pics from SEMA when we get back. Special thanks to Jason Rushforth for being patient with us while we changed many design aspects of the car during it's build.

Steve,
Long time no talk. The car really has turned out very nice. A good return to a hard core muscle car.

Looks good. I like the look of the paint, the green takes a little getting used to, but great execution!

Great Car! You guys should post some more pics of the car for the people not at SEMA, so far the posted pics do not do it justice. After seeing some killer Chevelles at the show (seemed like alot of amazing ones) my buddy and I walked away from JOKER and he said I'm building a 67 Chevelle! He even changed his flight to look at a few in Vegas.
I might have missed it, what HP is that thing putting out?

F'n wow, looked at the rendering then scrolled down to the real ting and it the color scheme just jumped out of the screen really nice and very original maybe not to everyones taste but I like it, even the colors on the engine, really well thought out design, well done.

I have been waiting on good lighting to take some photos here at the shop. I have a few from this morning.
We haven't dyno'd yet, but expected right around 550hp.

the car looks great!!! i think one of the reasons for the doubts on the colour choice is because green has never been a traditionally accepted colour by car builders, although it is starting to get more popular now. one of the main reasons for doing my nova green was to just " be different "

Saw it at SEMA! MUCH nicer in person than on rendering! Not to say that Jasons rendering was bad just that it's really nice to see it in person. Great job Guys!

What headers are you using? And how do they fit? Good ground clearance?
DriverzInc
11-19-2007, 01:09 PM
They are Doug's headers. The passenger side sits about 1" lower than the driver's side, but we can still cruise pretty low with the AirRide. Everything else cleared great. We have a pair of black Sanderson's that were originally for the car, but there was no way the driver's side was going to fit.

I saw the Chevelle at goodguys this past weekend and it caught my eye right off the bat. Nice work and the pictures don't do it justice. I had a 66 but I have always wanted a 67. Nice work.
