Robert Youngfleisch's 68 Chevelle

Mad Science 68 Chevelle - Under construction
Owner & Builder : Robert Youngfleisch

In 1989 I bought a 68 Chevelle after my 70 Chevelle was hit sitting at a red light. When I first bought the 68 Chevelle in 1989 I did a restoration well what I thought was a restoration being only 19 at the time it took me 1 _ years to strip the body and body work, redo interior, engine compartment, fiberglass hood & fenders, and some other changes. It was set up mostly for racing mile. Wasnt very good on gas with the big block, 4:10 gears And 400TH TCI Full Manual Trans. Wasnt a good driver, no heat or air, manual steering, sitting high & stiff suspension. So in 2005 I decide to changes a couple of things and one thing lead to another before I knew it I had the body off the frame and the credit card was melting. Its been just about 2 years and I am 3 quarters of the way done hoping to finish before 2008. All modifications done by myself with help from my father and Uncle, and my wife supporting me. This will be my first frame off restoration.
