1967 Chevy II Nova
We bought the car in 2004, the car came out of Fresno, California. We
found it on ebay but it never sold. So we called Jim Corter from
Pinnaclems.com of Rogers, AK who had the car. He said that it was the cleanest
body hes every had. So we left and were on our way to Arkansas! When we
got there he had it up on a lift, We were not there for 25 minutes, We knew it
was the one. Later that week we had it all tore apart and ready to start a never
Journey. Originally we were going to just build a Street/Strip car until I found
www.Lateral-g.net. I looked around and saw all of the awesome stuff going on
that we knew we had to be different.
After the car was already painted and we
got it all together. We ended up rolling the car outside to get a better look at
it. At the time we only had 17x7's all the way around. It just didnt look
right. So back into the garage it went to begin the mini-tub. One of the best
choices we have ever made. Along with the engine bay. It was all body color with
the engine painted as well then flat cleared. Everything was just getting lost.
My dad was in North Carolina, and when he came back the whole front of the car
was blown apart and I began prepping the engine compartment to be re-sprayed. We
were looking to just center case the engine when you opened up the hood. And
while the engine was back out of it we decided to build something else, So we
decided on doing a Carbureted LS2 but the price and the time line we had to meet
wasnt going to work. So we picked up a 1971 truck block from a buddy of ours,
had it punched .30 over and threw some good compression at it. The car was
finally completed the week of Columbus Good-Guys. What a great weekend. And I
was pretty proud going home with a Photo-Shoot.
