It is completely
numbers matching but highly modified. The 383 has been rebuilt and now sports a
Comp cams XE 268 cam. Cloyes Double roller timing chain, edelbrock rpm intake
and edelbrock 750 carb. Hedman shorty headers that are ceramic coated for
durability and that extra ground clearance because the torsion bars are set down
just above the bump stops. Tranny has been rebuilt with a TCI breakaway
converter and trans go kit. the rear still sports the 3.23 gears that will
someday be replaced with 3.73s.
The car was completely torn apart by myself and sent to
Johns Body Shop in Nicollet MN and given a rotissorie resto then brought back to
my garage for reassembly. He shaved the antenna and fender mounted turn signals
and filled the trim holes for the factory vinyl roof.
For the front suspension I put on CAP products tubular
upper contol arms and poly bushings along with KYB gas shocks. The brakes are
Master Power Slotted and cross drilled discs in the front and drums in the rear.
The the car has 2 in lowering blocks in the rear.
The color is sikkens bright orange with pearl added.
Interior is stock with a grant gt wheel and autogage monster tach added.
Wheels are 18x9.5 Centerline Retros rear with KDW
BFGoodrich 285 40s rear and 17x7 205 45s front.
