Heres the story of my
latest project; a 69 Camaro. I bought the car in October 2007 from a dealer in
WA. It was a California car and my original plan was to drive it for awhile and
make a few improvements. After going over the
car, I decided to tear it down and start over. Over the years I have built and
restored several cars, but always wanted a 69 Camaro. I am building this car to
keep and doing all the things I wish I would have on my other projects.
Overall the car was is pretty good shape for being 39
years old, but it had some rust, dings and had been in a few accidents. The
stock front sub-frame was bent and the front clip was a mix of original and repo
parts. The alignment of the sheetmetal was terrible and the rear quarters were
full of plastic.
Basically I want a car with lots of horsepower that I
can drive and beat without it breaking a part. Along with more HP, comes a new
suspension, steering, bigger breaks and a bullet proof rear.
Engine:
I have not decided on what engine I will go with, but I am leaning towards the
