The 1968 Cougar- 331,
steel crank, H beams, forged pistons, 10-1, mild work on the Vic Junior heads,
custom groud roller by Cam Research, Parker intake, JBA headers, Holley 4150,
put 402hp to the ground on pump gas. TKO 600 RR box, aluminum flywheel,
Centerforce clutch. Moser 9 inch, 4.11's, 31 spline, Goldtrak. Front and rear
suspension is all Maier, 750 front coils, 200 lb rear leafs, QA1's (soon to
switch to Bilsteins), Maier rear panhard bar, adjustable front bar, TCP manual
rack with bumpsteer kit. Cable clutch conversion. Brake system is all Cobra
Automotive 12x1.25 front stock car rotors, custom aluminum hats, carbon kevlar
shoes, rear is still 11x2.25 carbon kevlar shoes. Lexan front and back windows,
no glass, car is gutted, onboard Halon fire system, custom 10 point rollbar tied
into the TCP subframe connectors. glass rear decklid and bumpers, Vintage Wheel
works 17x9's in the front and 17x11's in the rear shod in Kuhmo V710 275/40's
and 315/35's respectively. Autometer liquid filled guages, Just went 1:50 flat
at Infineon in cool conditions and has gone 1:43 at Laguna on the old 255/16
Hoosiers. Not to bad for a 40 year old still running basically a vintage setup.
I've been running this car with the Shelby club and Trackmasters just doing some
trackdays for almost 5 years.
The 1966 Mustang- Complete resto, media stripped, new quarter, taillight panel,
front supports, fenders and hood. Has custom made GT 350 steel hood, paint by
Glenn Southard at Southard Auto Body in Vallejo, 2005 Jaguar Red Effect with
ghost stripes (super hard to see but it's my wife's car and she picked it out),
340 hp 302, Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI, Vintage Air A/C, T-5Z, Currie 9 inch, 3.50's,
Traklok, 31 spline, big drum rear, power brakes using small booster, cable
clutch conversion, TCP power rack and pinion, KRC pump, TCP subframes, Global
West front and rear suspension, SSBC 12.5 in Force 10 brakes, Custom Autosound
deck, 6 speakers, iPod, all Dynamat'd and insulated, everything rechromed,
Vintage Wheel Works V48's on 16x8 all around riding on 225 and 245 Yokahama's. 3
point seatbelt conversion, headrests added to stock seats, Autometer Cobalt
guages, tilt column, shot the complete undercarriage and inner frame rails with
rust inhibitor and undercoating. I built this car for my wife (her dream car)
and has got a best of 26 mpg with the air on.
