Hood fits terrible.. is it fiberglass??

Stripe is painted wrong on the trunk.. should stop under the spoiler..

Disconnected PCV hose on passengers side..

Still a cool car, I hate to be picky but for over $90k you should be

I wonder if the crossram came on the car? Heck, If I had a nickle for everyone one of those that I saw ripped off a car and tossed in the junk pile (back in the day) because they ran bad and were a PITA to tune right I would at least 60 cents..

That stripe is painted correctly if spoiler was dealer installed. According to the CRG, there are many documented examples of cars like this.

From the CRG web page:

Q: What is the correct trunk lid striping for a Z-28 with a spoiler?

A: If the spoiler was installed at the factory:
  1. The paint stripes go over the spoiler, and end at the bottom of the spoiler (and therefore not on the back lip of the trunk lid)
  2. The Camaro trunk lid emblem was moved forward, up the trunk lid, from station 125.00 to station 121.73, a distance of 3.27 inches, and the Z stripe was masked (1967-68 only) around the emblem.
If the spoiler was installed by the dealer:
  1. The stripes were painted on the trunk lid at the factory and thus, without a spoiler, run all the way through to the lip of the lid. The dealer installed spoiler was attached over the factory stripes and then the dealer painted the spoiler to match.
  2. The dealer did not relocate the Camaro emblem.

Very early, Oct Nov 68 69 Z-28's had the narrow 68 style spoiler and in some cases, according to Jerry McNeish's "Definitve 69 Z-28 Book" some had narrow stripes also. Mine came with the narrow 68 spoiler. chambered exaust, no cowl hood (Larry Shinoda was designing it still). Course I added it myself cause it is so wicked looking. Mine doesn't even have X33 on the tag because its a 4th week November car, but the "X33" was marked on the back seat bulkhead, right motor, etc.

Except all Z28's had spoilers

From the CRG:

At the start of the model year the standard 1969 Z28 was indicated as Z28BA. In the middle of the model year, the formerly optional D80 spoiler became a part of the Z28 package, and at this time the ECL changed to Z28BB.

The 69 Z's only got better the longer the run went. The earlies, Like mine, could be got w/o spoilers, console, gauges, and obviously the cowl hood. Down side was that the chambered was "done in" for noise. Imagine that. I really just love the old horsepower approach, though. Lots of seams, if you catch my drift.
