I don't think Rupp is gonna like your predictions very much. Defending champ not even in the top 3!

Should be a great event. Hope to see some good video footage afterward.

That's ok.. I'm use to it.. -- I am surprised to be counted out of the autocross event though.. especially considering the cars record in autocross events. But that's the fun of speculating

For the record.. in regards to the autocross, Jackass, driven by Charlie or Mark didn't beat my times at the Motor State Challenge.. even when driven by me. Charley said he's driving Jackass in that autocross against me, so we're a bit more on par. In the autocross the guys to beat are Kyle and Ryan from DSE. -- my car is on par with the DSE cars, I just need to bring my A-game in terms of driving. It should also be noted that RideTech's Velocity Camaro was crazy good at the RTTH V event.. it's certainly a contender now that they have the bugs worked out.

The one time I ran the auto-x against the RS Corvette I was well over a second faster, even on brand new KDWs.. Then again, I'm sure they've had time to sort the car out.

Also, keep in mind that Spring Mountain isn't Gingerman.. it's not a heavy braking track, but more of a momentum track. Penny does well at momentum tracks. To win the whole deal a car has to do well in ALL the events.. thay's why Penny won buy such a large margin last year. That's what a car will need to do this year.. either that or win another event by such a HUGE margin that they can blow another event.

But, one thing you learn in life is that there's always someone faster.. there's always someone luckier (or un-luckier) and one broken part can take you out of the whole deal.

Make no mistake.. we are in this to win this.. if not what would be the point. BUT, the main goal is to have fun and run a good hard race. Trying to predict the winner is like guessing which horse will win the Kentucy Derby.. some might have an edge but any horse in the race can win it.

What this really comes down to is car/driver.. personally my car is capable of beating (not by much) any car there in the autocross.. BUT, I'm just an "ok" driver.. Kyle, Ryan, Mary are better.. I guess I need to just hope that the changes we've made to the car give me an edge to close up the "talent" gap.

I hope this event never becomes so competative that it stops being fun... that would be sad.

PERFECT -- I'll let you know my pick when it's all over. There's plenty of time for that... right?

lol... that is the easier way to do it.

Personally it's anyone's race. Remember that the times are ALL added up.. you only have to blow one lap of ONE event to be screwed. Get lost on the autocross course.. you're done.. spin once on the big track.. you're done.

Flat spot a tire in the 0-60-0 event.. screwed.. in fact, it's way easier to not win than to win. lol

I think all of us WANT to win, but none of us NEEDS to win..

I think you're ALL WINNERS!

In my book anyway....

Not being sappy here. Just a fact. You - all of you - have killer cars - and drive 'em hard... YOU ALL share with us and WE all get to live vicariously through you all.... What could be better than that!

cant leave out Finch, he can drive the wheels off a car.

Steve is right about Ridetech, bret was doing very well at RTTH's, that car is quick.

Like I said.. any horse in the race can win.. I think it's easier for people to speculate about cars that have seen more action, but even the new builds like Finch's can't be counted out. After all, it's an exact copy of Kyle's 70 (suspension wise) and we know that car is a performer.
