I'm doing one right now, but with the 4L60E. I got the mount plates from
here, and then used Energy suspension poly motor mounts (#31114). With a 2001 F-body oil pan I feel you need to notch the crossmember (the autocrafters would still need the notching too) to be able to get a decent driveline angle. I first used spacers under the motor mounts and moved the frame mount outwards (about 1/2") to raise the engine till the pan "just" cleared. with this and the 4L60E jacked all the way into the floor, I still had 6degrees down angle with 0 to 1 on the driveshaft, so I was uncomfortable trying to run it that way. I guess you could cut the floor, but either way, I think your gonna have to cut something.
Got the trans crossmember from Bowtie Overdrives, but it would be easy to fab one.
You'll need to trim the plastic shroud on the back of the alternator for frame clearance. The alternator should clear the stock steering box OK, but with the 605 box, you need to trim a corner off the box.
The F-body A/C brackets will not work, you'll need something to move it up high on the passenger side.
Stock F-body exhaust manifolds clear ok. but you'll have to move the O2 sensor on the drivers side to somewhere down the pipe, cause it looks like the long sensor would not clear the frame. I havent looked for any headers since this is a "budget" project for me
