I know this is not the same car but I did a similar check on my Caprice 1995. I started by checking the frame first to make sure it was in fact biased to one side. I then followed by checking the control arms mounting brackets (rear end and frame) to see if there was any damage that would cause the rear end to sit to one side. Turned out that the body was sitting to one side on the frame. Loosened all body mounts and carefully moved the body over about 3/8" to center everything up. Roger.
