Remote battery charging terminals

Does anyone have remote battery charging terminals? Getting my battery out of the trunk is a PITA. If so where did you install them? Pics? Or maybe a battery cut off switch? I need one of these.

Why not just add the wire pigtail that comes with most trickle http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1500_.jpgchargers ?

Ring brothers , Eddie Motorsports, feeler lots of companies make and sell nice charging ports . I'd agree with the trickle charger set up thou. My buddy has them on his cars and toys ....easy to tuck the lead out of the way.

I love my Ctek charger. Charges Optima batteries that my Optima charger says can't be charged.

I've not been a fan of any of the Optima products since they were sold.

I used a trickle / float chargers recently from Optima and was frustrated with it more than anything else. It would take 15 mins to "analyze" the battery.

Id save $100 bucks and get the CTEK.

Do this

i put a shut off and some battery lugs up under my rear bumper so i can hook up a trickle charge to my battery while keeping car shut off from power when not in use.

Just to add my cents here ---- there's a HUGE difference between being able to "trickle" charge your PITA battery location - and being able to get a JUMP to that battery if needed.... and when it's needed it's never when your hanging out in your nice dry garage.

Remote battery JUMPER studs can be used to hook a trickle charger (I also vote for Ctek - they're the best period) - so if you're planing on something farirly permanent - this is an alternative.

There's MANY ways to mount these - and just as many locations....

In a 55 Post I built for a buddy - I made a nice spot in the trunk for a cutoff switch and the posts - which was then upholstered over with a nice access panel.

And yes --- before it was finished up and installed for the last time - the red was changed out for a black (so one of each) but at the time of the build I was using what I had laying around for mock up....

By the way -- With the new electronics all having memory now that needs constant power -- I alway put a 3 or 5 amp fuse across the switch terminals so there's power even with the switch turned off. It's enough to run the memory and obviously not enough to start the car! LOL
