Hello everyone, i hope you all are doing well! Has anyone used the Eastwood powdercoating system? If so, please let me know what you think, i was looking at it to do my bumpers on my 72 Chevelle. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

You do realize that you need an OVEN large enough to hold a bumper.... This stuff needs to be baked on at about 400*

The powder is just electrostatic application -- but the real deal is the baking.

Save your money and just take them to be done - it's not expensive.

Greg, I do understand that it has to be cured and i do have access to an oven that can hold bumpers. Our auto craft shop on post has one. I was asking in reference to the performance of the product. Good looking out though!

I bought one back In the late 90's and still use It today to do small items. It works good.

harbor freight has a powder coating gun for 54 bucks if your a member. I buy my powdercoating supplies from powderbuythepound. it bakes a little smoother.

I've been looking at that system and wonder how good was it myself. Might buy it later to do rims and few small parts.

Powder clear only

Has anyone tried powdercoating chrome aluminum rims and if so how did you get the chrome off before powdercoating?
