New GM ZL-1 block....
I may be purchasing a Zl-1 bare aluminum block in the near future the lowest quote I got was $5395.00 this was from a gm dealership. Can I do better else where? Thx for any comments.

Anthony,are you set on a GM block?I think I paid $4500 for my aluminum Merlin 540 and $4000 for my brodix aluminum small block.If you want a I can send you the name of a guy who can get good deals on aftermarket blocks.

Yes, you can get a stronger aftermarket block for less through Jonny's person. And yes, that seems to be a good price for the GM version, they were wanting over $6K when they first came out.

Yes, they are the same, new century purchased all of Arias inventory and block producing components. I just bought one for myself for my racecar but they are a excellent foundation for a hot street engine also.
