not receiving e-mail notifications
 

my e-mail notification is on but not being alert through my email.

it has never worked can some body fix it

Not for me. I get PM notifications (or did for the two PMs I have received) but never for a thread subscription.

Same, no notifications.

always works for me. Have any of you changed your e-mail addresses since signing up for the site? Have you checked your spam folders to see if it's getting sent there?

no change on emai, and have checked my spam.

Same here, I have no spam filter they all go to the same inbox.

Same email address and I have checked the spam folder - nothing from this site in it. I get notifications from other forums in the same email account, and never did anything special to get them - just subscribed to threads and it works.

I have the same issue. It used to work fine, then stopped all of a sudden. Not sure why. I changed the email address to my other address and it worked fine. Went back to my primary email (a shaw account) and stopped working again. I checked all my filters, spam, etc and nothing. I even sent Scott a few pm's and emails and he couldn't figure out why either.

Not sure why it works for some and not others.

which e-mail are you using?

[email protected] and the other email I was using before was [email protected].

it worked for me as soon as I started rerouting emails to a different email account.. its a -------yahoo.com account.

my other was an sbcglobal.net and did not work.

I too never got any emails, even when I first signed up I needed a mod to enable my account so I could post since I didn't get the "verify" email.

That being said I just changed from my sbcglobal.net to my yahoo.com address like frankv11 and it works now. Definitely some sort of issue though...

once i started using yahoo everything was squared away.

Hmmmm maybe mine's going to start working now. I got an email notification for a reply to my build thread. That was a first. Just have to wait for a pm now.

Me too just today started workin out of nowhere!!:D And I happened to get a PM that I got a notification for too, I hope this keeps up cause this is my forum of choice but I also rely on the emails a lot so it is hard to keep up to date!!:lateral:

I gave up on this a while ago

WOOOHOOOO my pm notification is working now too!!!! Not sure what Jody did, but this is the first time in years that it's worked. :woot: :woot: :woot:

I, also, don't get most thread update emails. I say most because I do get some. For example, I'm subscribed to several threads that were updated between last night and this morning. But I only had 1 email from Lat-G from any of those threads this morning...

This has been ongoing for a while for me, I just haven't complained since I get here frequently enough to manually check the threads. It's not a new email account, and it's not completely broken as I do get some of the emails. Just not all that I should...

I guess you're lucky, I don't get any email notifications, none. If I have a PM,it won't even pop up when I log on.:mad:

Email notifications on subscribed threads have been sporadic for me for awhile.

that's because your pm pop up notification was turned off. :) I just turned it back on for you.

I don't think you get notifications until your post count is over 5,000 or until Weld "friends" you....
