Nice Scirocco, I really like them, my driver now is an Golf 2 16 Valve

My first car was an 78 Camaro LT, it was primer black, had longer spring shackles in the rear + Hi-jackers/air shocks and big Block springs in the front, it was really high! It had a 350, With headers/carb/intake.. the usual

Later I bought a pack from Vette Brakes & Products, It was Bilstein shocks, lowering springs and composite springs in the rear, and tubular upper A-arms.

Installed used 3.73 in the rear and 15" American Racing Wheels.

And painted it black, painted it in as rolled it on With "regular" Paint :D It looked good actually. 2 layers ;)

Vent 14.2&100MPH in the 1/4 mile.

In the front I had Pos-A-Traction tires!! Some of you may remember them? That my dad bought New in 76, still have them, they are like ice in grip.. Dad says they were even bad in 76....

I wrecked it.. :( And later traded the wreck in a 2-door 56 Chevy

'78 Camaro type LT. 2 barrel 305/ auto, it was a real dog and came with a luggage rack (that was the first thing to go). But it had t-tops and the early style dash. It would (eventually) reach 130 with a fresh set of plugs. I lived in the country in upstate NY at the time. We had many open roads there.

I had bought it when I was 15 for a sum of $1,300 (in 1990), and started saving for it (whatever it would be) since I was 10. I had this car for just over a year. While I had it I upgraded it to a set of 1970's Z/28 rims (came with Nova rallyes), and a spoiler from a wrecked '79 Z/28. The last thing I did to it was buy a mildly built 350 and had it installed. I drove it for all of five minutes before it backfired through the carb, caught fire, and burned to the ground. That was a hard lesson at 16 and to this day I carry a fire extinguisher in my cars.
