In that particular instance of course not. As soon as I read the first reply I realized I should have chosen my words more wisely regarding "cheap." Just setting myself up for flames and the China thing.  I'm actually not cheap and believe in quality. This equipment came recommended from various sources and to be honest I assumed it was American made from various wording on the web site. I didn't ask until it was rolling in the door, would I have bought differently maybe, I don't know? The seller, sells a lot of lifts in the area been in business 25 yrs, it was convenient ..... 
The lifts work well (now :rolleyes:  ) and do the job end of story. Sorry for the long thread just trying to limit the flaming....
