yea Titan is mass produced in China:( reflected in the price.... cheap. The quality looks fine however.

Cheap or not, I made a life decision to not knowingly spend money with a country that has no moral regard for our welfare.....poision our kids, our pets, and us if they could, just to make a buck.

For all you know, the steel is substandard, or the welding electodes, or something else they tried to pinch a penny on.

Not going to debate the morals of The China thing with you but, times are a changing... I've travelled there a few times and do business there.

I'll bet you right now most every thing your wearing is made in China or over seas.

Yes I'd rather support North American made but if the quality is there for a better price..... damn I'm starting the debate. I agree with you sort of but I'm cheap!

I have a Chinese version of a Honda CT70 trail bike. It looks the same from 10' but is absolute junk.

In that particular instance of course not. As soon as I read the first reply I realized I should have chosen my words more wisely regarding "cheap." Just setting myself up for flames and the China thing. I'm actually not cheap and believe in quality. This equipment came recommended from various sources and to be honest I assumed it was American made from various wording on the web site. I didn't ask until it was rolling in the door, would I have bought differently maybe, I don't know? The seller, sells a lot of lifts in the area been in business 25 yrs, it was convenient .....
The lifts work well (now :rolleyes: ) and do the job end of story. Sorry for the long thread just trying to limit the flaming....

RE concrete floor thickness: We asked the contractor to pour a thick floor for a two post, and they didn't. To help distribute the load the lift is bolted to large steel pads and work great. We've had the lift for over 10 years now and have lifted everything from a Corvette body to a crewcab duallie. Floor hasn't cracked yet!

Does anyone know who makes the below grade 2 post lift that RS Performance has in thier shop? I was looking at their recent posts of their 66 GTO and saw it. That would work real nice, you wouldn't have the 2 posts taking up space when not in use but just the arms.

Below ground lifts are a thing of the past because of environmental regulations (contaminating soil with hydraulic oil).
