Since its about 58 minutes long, watching this in ‘chunks’.
Deep dive into the why a FPC…and the how. If you like tech, A+ vid. There is track thrashing, but hearing at length directly from those who made this happen makes this vid unique imho. |
…plus 1 exotic.

Like all the Matranga builds very high quality…

Just a few SOHC badges added…

The goal was to imitate the understated look of the factory Galaxie interior, but with high end materials.
Apparently Ford actually built one of these Cammer Galaxies, per the Fuel Curve story, to try and persuade NASCAR to allow the motor. https://i.postimg.cc/CK9tWnkK/1-E862...DF6-A86934.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/NLhCz3HP/0-D10-...226-DB12-D.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3wkVSFy6/D5-E63...F53-A622-F.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/kgXk8m77/A06392...6073631DBA.jpg |
I wish Greg had built his bubble top. I bet it would have turned out great. This green one is gorgeous. That W motor is so cool and unique.
The Galaxie is amazing as well. I would have put the back end a little lower so that it sits level. Otherwise, I'd change nothing. |
At the 3:40 min mark, they pan around a stock 61 bubbletop and the Dirty Martini car.
Eye opening… https://youtu.be/s65xvE3gWPU |

Agreed. But you may remember Greg saying the car was just too big for him. Both the 61-62 Impalas are 209”. This one surprised me, the 65 GTO’s are almost as long…206”. They didn’t shrink down some until 68-69. |
