Some might think I am a lunatic or worse cutting in a perfectly fresh 1969 Z/28. Those who have followed my project over the years have seen me doing it before.

So here we go, today I let the hacksaw do its work on the dashpanel to make room for my new center console.

Here is whats left after the cutting, a big hole in the dash.

Look how fresh the metal is on the backside. The gray is raw metal and you see just a little hint of rust. This is how this car looks everywhere where the factory didn't reach with the paintguns. It has been preserved really good over the years.

And here is the first mockup of the panel.
