Some of you know the deal with my sister's garage. I fix it up and some other things and it is temporarilly "mine". I get to keep and work on Pariah in it. Sure it is more expensive then renting a storage area, but I haven't found one yet that will let you work out of them.

Anyway, I thought you guys might be interested in seeing how the garage is coming along.

May 6th - http://home.grics.net/~redean/P5060230.JPG - Not the begining, but this is what it looked like after doing a couple of things and cleaning up the numerous years of mess that had accumulated.

June 2nd - http://home.grics.net/~redean/P6020412.JPG - Gotten quite a bit done, but most importantly .................................. I have the POWER!!! :D

June 4th - http://home.grics.net/~redean/P6040415.JPG - Getting closer. Not much longer :) .

Good job David, you did alot of work. Nothing better than having a place to work on your car.

As a kid and a young man I never had a garage. I had to rent from neighbors to store my GTO. Yes, I had to clean out their damn mess as well. Looking good.

Thanks guys. I am excited to have a place to work. My parents garage is barely ok for storage and completely impossible to work out of. It has set me back budget wise, but the work I am doing around their house and the cost of the materials is considered rent so it is worth it. That and I can get overtime at work pretty much any time I want/need it, so I will just have to save up again  .

Nothing worse then working in a gravel driveway in the winter... been there - zero fun. Didn't get a garage until I was 30 something. Don't know how I lived without one - guess I'm spoiled now.

Congrats and best of luck finishing and getting to work on your ride !

 Never tried in the winter. That would be interesting. Heck it is interesting enough in the summer.

Thanks guys :) .

Got the gable fan installed, roof insulation in, and some storage in the "attic". Just need to clear a few more things out and get the car in :D . Man it will be nice to be able to work on it  .

Wow, much better. Once my car goes to paint, I'll be tearing my shop apart and re-doing everything as well.

Looks great it is nice to have space! I think if you made a small purchase of a shed of some sorts to keep bikes mower etc in you will be surprised how much room you will have! i have a one car garage next to my 30x40 that i keep my stuff in still and my big garage still finds away to get a little clustered if i let it lol, but keeping those items if possible out of the garage ans in another building saves alot of room and headaches, ecp. if your kids leave a nice 4ft scrath from a bike handle bar down the side of your car not good lol good luck looks great

What a difference! Lookin good. I think I would get some of those hooks and hang the big bicycles from the rafters near the window side and get even more room. Maybe even make a shelf attached to the rafters to store light weight stuff. I've seen some nice stuff come out of a 1 car garage.

Hey David, Looking great dude !! I think you'd mentioned this, but wasn't sure - really recommend acid etching and epoxy on the floor. Lets the light bounce up under the car - and makes clean-up so fast. And Harbor Freight has a yellow 5 gal janitors mop bucket with wringer on sale right now for something like $40 - a GREAT investment !

Wrenching is right around the corner Bro !!

Looking good. I bet it feels good making your 'escape' space. Nothing like a great shop to work on the car and forget about all the grief in the world. Its like therapy.;)

Thanks guys :D .

I really wanted to epoxy the floor, but it's probably not going to happen for many reasons. The main reason is that there is one more thing I am trying to get that will be the final straw budget wise (which I am already over :_paranoid ) ............................. I am trying to get permission to put THIS SHED (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=98483-25-LW108&lpage=none) in their yard for the bikes, their kids' toys, lawn mower, and stuff like that. They don't have a large yard so it is taking some convincing, but the last thing I heard from my sister was "I think it will be fine as long as it isn't permanent". That shed bolts/screws together and would have a wood floor so I would be able to remove it when I am done. She said she and her husband would discuss it. So if I can get the "OK" I am going to take the space over the epoxy  .

Hey guys. Since school started up I haven't had much time to post, but I finally got to work on the car over Labor Day weekend and I am really happy that work is now able to be done :woot: . Anyway, disassembly has begun. The hood is still on in the pics, but that is off now too. Maybe I can start my own thread in the Project Updates section now :D  .
