Matt(our engineer)brought his car down today and was kind enough to let us all have a go behind the wheel. Rides great, drives awesome and the stance is a-OK! Enjoy some of the pics I took earlier today! The other thing to note is that since we have headers made to go with the subframe, nothing hangs down! Note the underside of the car........

I think the car looks great. I agree it sits a bit high, but would bringing it down sacrifice ride quality?
Of course with those flush headers he certainly has the space to go down.
Thanks!

I didn't say the stance was too high, I said it was a-ok as in  I was showing off pics of what our new bolt-in sub looks like. There's aound 5 1/4" of ground clearance under the subframe. This puts the car at a nice lowered stance, but not so low that you are going to have to worry about road hazards. C6 suspension components, Wilwood brakes, power 15:1 AGR rack, no mods to the firewall or inner fenders, AND it drives awesome!!!........I know I'm a little biased, but it's cool!

It sits a bit high perhaps as compared to a frame dragging low rider. IHMO, that's about as low as you can go and still navigate ordinary driving obstacles like speed bumps and crowned driveways.
Craig and Matt: The car looks great!
 Should have read closer! Sorry to put words in your mouth!

looks nice, header fitment is killer
i agree it is a bit high i think most of the serious pro touring cars are closer to 4-1/4 to 4-1/2 ground clearance
nice work either way:thumbsup:

Hey no problem!
we have a sub with a big block in it and we finally got our headers a couple days ago....they hang way down? Any thoughts? Im not sure what we are going to do may have to cut the headers up so they dont hang. it will be hell cutting a 700.00 set of headers/
and jake-4.5 off the ground? You have been up in the altitude to long only about 1.5-2 is needed to get in and out of the trailer....ha ha ha j/k

Craig,
The car looks great and appears to be real drivable. Really like the fact that you cant see the collectors underneath. Ive got two quick questions, what rear suspension is under that car(drop leafs?) and what is the wheel /tire size we are looking at? Nice job- There are so many great choices in first gen subs these days, its become difficult to choose- Thanks Rich

The spindle is a C5 piece that has a bolt-on dropped steering arm.

Rich,
The rear suspension consists of composite leaf springs and adjustable shocks. The tires are 275/40R18 in the rear and 245/40R18 in front.
Thanks for the compliments guys! The car truly is a blast to drive, yet comfortable enough to drive long distances. I've been driving it everywhere, from Wal-Mart to local state parks (and I guess once to the liquor store) and haven't found a situation where I haven't been extremely pleased with it.

Sweet car, Matt. The vinyl top complements the silver paint nicely. Rer spring height is without flipped ends, right?

That's right...I just used Hyperco's design. Looks pretty good. I wouldn't mind another 1/2" lower or so...but I like it anyway.
BTW, the car ended up at 3070lbs w/o driver and half tank a fuel. 53/47 weight distribution, which isn't too bad at all. Left to right is within 20lbs. Overall, I'm happy.
