Hi everyone, just signed up and already have a EFI question, so here it goes.
Just bought a Holley commander 950 TBI system, The fuel map has me confused. On the left is the MAP readings and on the bottom is the RPM.
Holley said I must convert The MAP readings ,now in KPA to vacuum or pressure, they also say that 1 PSI = 6.8 KPA--- Ok I did this calculation but the numbers I got dont make any sense. Im running a blower with about 7lbs of boost and I do have a 2 bar Map sensor.
Anyone have this setup and understand the MAP readings, I just dont know when Im out of vacuum and into boost.
Sorry for the stupid question but please help.

Anything above roughly 100 KPA is boost. You can convert KPA to boost by multiplying by .145, but you also must deduct 14.7 from that number (atmospheric pressure). So to make 7 psi of boost you'll be showing approximately 150 KPA (150 X .145 = 21.75 - 14.7 = 7.05 psi)

The formula they gave you works out close to the same as long as you remember to add atmospheric pressure first; you have to remove that before you get into boost. So 14.7 X 6.8 = 99.96 KPA which is the app. 100 kpa I listed above as being no vacuum, no boost. So take 7 psi X 6.8 = 47.6 + 100 for normal atmospheric pressure and you come up with 147.6 KPA to equal 7 psi.
