I am wanting to weld and smooth my front fenders, lower fender extensions, valance and header panel.

Has anyone welded all these together and had a satisfactory job? My only concern would be the hood fitment? All my other panels are welded and smoothed, so I would like the car to run together.
Any thoughts? pro's con's?

You would have to make sure the hood fit perfect BEFORE welding. Once everything is welded theirs no going back.

You will be surprised at how much filler and blending work there will be welding and smoothing the panels. The fender extensions make for a lot of surprise work, but the effort is well worth it in my opinion. I love the look of a one piece fender. The header and valance, I am not so sure of.

JMO though

I was considering doing the same thing to the Barracuda.

My biggest concern is the "what if" scenarios.... as in "what if" I ever need to get to something behind the valance or header.... "what if" I ever get in an accident and mash one panel etc......

With all the panels welded together, you would need to remove the entire front end in one piece....and not damage the paint etc taking it on and off.

Not to mention that you better have everything PERFECTLY lined up, becasue there is not "fine tuning" the panle fitment once its done.
