Do you run a cross over pipe on the hot side before turbos, and do you think it makes any diff. What do you normally do for inter cooling?

Can we get a pic of the back of the motor?

The motor looks great!

We don't normally run a cross over pipe.Cost for this engine like you see it with intercooler and fuel sytem is 36.000 dynoed. The heads are raw castings we get from edelbrock and Richard from West Coast Cyl Heads runs his full cnc program threw the head they only measure out at 210 cc runner volume and flow over 310 cfm it's a pretty neat head. Then we stuff them with inconel valves ti retainers double springs etc..

36.000 for a quality engine isnt actually too much if you think how much R&D has been put in to it. Tom can you tell us the maintenance of this engine? How streetable-everyday it could be? Would dropping the power a bit change anything? If cammed brand name LS7 is close to 25K there isnt a big jump to double horsepower and torque.

Dropping the power in boosted engine is just as simple as dropping the boost! I think the only problem in your case my friend would be the surviving of the T56

Based on your forum nick name you may not heard of the latest news on T56 camp . 2008 Viper SRT will get totally new and improved desing wich takes +600hp easily. I am pretty sure +1000 wont be a broblem after D&D treatment:D

This is an extremely reliable piece.I would use it for my everyday car it idles at 14 inchs manifold pressure very smooth .It has a hydrualic roller with only 360 pounds open pressure which should live a super long time.Thats one of the reasons we only ran it to 5300 is i was worried about valve float much past 5800 with 17 psi pushing on the back of the valve.I would say just change the oil every 1500 to 2000 miles and make sure everything runs in it's operating temps and that it.I'm actually working on some new lobes for the hydrualics that are going to be everything a solid will be - a few ponys. At any rate this will be a great daily combo. And if you ever get crazy and want to take it to the track. It should make just shy of 1500hp at 31 psi so that would be a handfull.

I know that it takes a Lenco to back up SERIOUS HP on sticky slicks but I think those production MOPAR Transmissions are also very good alternatives when you use your slippery and skinny lowprofile tires

...slippery and skinny lowprofile tires

While they will never dead hook, there are some nice high tech gadgets available to ensure that you can keep tire slip right around 10%. :D

I think Valient65's point is very significant. Regular tires cannot come close to handling big hp/tq in lower gears. So the tires to road contact(or lack off) is like a relief valve for the entire drive train. Even thought an engine can make over 1000 hp, with non slick tires, only so much can be put to the ground. So, the entire drive train only needs to be strong enough for what the tire/road friction can keep planted.

You are absolutely right. And I have the honour of knowing Valiant65 personally and he sure knows his stuff. That sig of his isn't a joke:wow:
