Have done a lot of searching on this site and others. My build is coming to a head. And I want to install this two stacked plate coolers for the 428 in my Lemans.

I've done the regular through the radiator "pull straps" with rubber bumpers before. The difference here is that I have an aluminum radiator and don't want to damage the soft core. So I can't to mount these engine/tranny oil coolers on the radiator itself.

What I am looking for is actual pictures/tech on how people have done this on their 1967 A-bodies. Just looking for pitfalls and neat mods others have done. Thanks again. :)

I dont think there is any bolt on mounts or solution for you. Why dont you contact local fabricator who can fab you mounting legs wich will position cooler front of rad.

I actually wanted to fab it myself. Just looking for some ideas. Trying to save some cash up to buy some proper disc brakes to replace the front 9.5 inch drums.

I'll try my hand at it and will post up the pictures when I get done.

i don't have any pics of what i did, but i had the same problem as you with my 70 chevelle and alum rad. and tranny cooler. But i went to the local hardware store and they sell strips of metal like 3 foot long by about 1 1/2 inches wide. Painted it black to match the cooler and cut to length. Mounted it a few inches in front of the rad. kinda looks like it's floating. It was a cheap temp deal that turned out nice and i decided to keep it like that.

The hardware store was going to be my next stop. It's raining cats and dogs here though! Thanks Brad.
