installed yesterday according to instructions.
in a 69 camaro you use the bolt hole for the rear end snubber to correctly locate the crossbar.
there are 3 holes ?
the piece fits in but the inner edges are about 3/8 away from the frame?
outter edges contact the frame.
ill snap a few pics in the near future once i get home.
here are some pics

Looks good, do you have to change your shocks from stock style shocks?

Is it worth the money?

yes different shocks are gonna be needed
the crossbar strenghtens the rear frame rails.
my issue is with the fitment and it dont seem right?
crossbar should fit flush with no gaps.

There was one of those crossmembers on my car when I first got it (68 camaro) and it had gaps too. IIRC it was the inside that fit tight and the outside had a gap which shrunk as you tightened the bolts.

There is nothing wrong with yours in particular.. they all have the gaps from what I have read. I guess CE just made the brackets a bit big so the crossmember could be so interchangable.

well if you really want to do it the right way you need to cut the mounting brackets off that crossmember, plate the framerails with some 10 or 12 ga., and weld the crossmember directly to the plated part of the frame.

But that kind of defeats the purpose of buying a crossmember.
