Today I sank the engine back in to my car. Now it is fresh again after last years disaster. I dropped a valve cruising down the highway at 3500 rpm. New block and heads.
Hope to get everything back in order for a small test drive next weekend. It really feels good. Want to get back out there and drive it!

That's great news, Jan. I remember when you lost the motor last year.

I just kept it the same as before, it is proven and it is driveable. Idle is perfect andit pulls good up to 6000 rpm.
The setup is pretty mild compared to what you guys are up to. It is basically a 396 L78 with but with the ovalport heads that has been ported some. Headers and a good intakemanifold makes it breath better.
Might sell it after the summer and replace it with a LS1/T56 combo, we'll see.
